PBS Kids Weather Hunters at AMNH Activities & Screenings

On Saturday, October 4 to be among the first to see PBS KIDS’ new animated series “Weather Hunters” at the American Museum of Natural History during special screenings followed by hands-on activities and more throughout the day.

Created by Al Roker, weatherman on NBC’s Today Show and co-anchor, “Weather Hunters” follows Lily Hunter, an eight-year-old weather wiz and her curious family as they explore the fascinating world of weather—everything from rain, snow, and fog to more extreme weather, like hurricanes.

Weather Hunters Screenings and Activities


Included with Museum admission for Saturday, October 4, the event will feature screenings of two “Weather Hunters” episodes, hands-on activities, family board games, and more throughout the day.

Al Roker, who voices the show’s dad and TV meteorologist Al Hunter, will introduce episodes and lead Q and A sessions for the first two screenings of the day at 11 am and 12:15 pm.

Al will be joined by the show’s creative team, who will then go on to introduce the final two screenings at 2 and 3 pm and lead the Q and A.

Tandi Fomukong, who voices “Weather Hunters” character Lily Hunter, will also participate in post screening Q and A and for photos with visitors.
