  • Life360 (Free) - This handy app helps everyone in a family share their real-time location and notify one another when they’ve arrived at home, school, the office, or another destination.

  • Endless Learning Academy (Free/In-App Purchases) - Set in a delightful theme park populated by curious little monsters, Endless Learning Academy is full of games for improving literacy and numeracy. Kids will learn letters and numbers, then move on to phonics and arithmetic. The app also offers Spanish and music activities.

  • Me: A Kid’s Diary by Tinybop ($3.99) - This interactive journal lets kids express themselves through photos, sketches, audio recordings, and, of course, words. It guides them, step by step, with fun prompts on everything from how they lost a tooth to what their dream pet looks like.

  • MathTango (Free/In-App Purchases) - Here’s a novel idea for teaching math: Mix it with monsters and space stations. Designed for ages 5 to 10, this app has two worlds: MathTango Island, where kids dive into addition and subtraction, and Starbase MathTango, for multiplication and division.
