The event also gave me a chance to learn about a few other very useful devices and services connecting under the AT&T network including:
The Amber Alert GPS uses GPS technology and AT&T wireless connectivity to provide reports on a kid's location via email or text, as well as a history of where your child has been recently. The device allows parents to customize specific zone alerts around places your child frequents and also offers 2 way calling, allowing parent or child to contact each other if needed.
Social Bicycles has begin using AT&T wireless networks to connect its affordable and intelligent bike sharing networks. Social Bicycles builds “smart bikes” that have an integrated locking system with GPS tracking and connectivity to the AT&T wireless network.
Users can locate, reserve and unlock bikes through a mobile phone application on your smartphone or tablet; allowing for easy pick up and drop off anywhere. Returns are as simple as finding any bicycle rack near your destination and checking it back in using the application.
The AT&T Digital Life is an all-digital, IP-based home security monitoring and automation services that gives users control and security of their homes using any web-enabled device, PCs, tablets and smartphones, regardless of wireless carrier.
