Wanda Sykes & Gain Match People with Perfect Scent
Wanda Sykes has joined Gain Detergent in television ads airing nationally to highlight the world of scent choices. Since Wanda Sykes has a unique humor, I can see how it fits with the brands message of diversity and uniqueness.
Note: I was invited as media to the event. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
To learn more I was invite by Gain to attend their event where I had a chance to meet Wanda Sykes in person, after she unveiled a one-of-a-kind, interactive experience to help people find their perfect scent match.
During the event I learned about a 2012 study by Wakefield Research on behalf of Gain, that found 72% of Americans feel it is important for their personal scent to match their personality.
“Gain understands, like me, that it’s all about finding the things that make us happy, like scent, and having a little fun,” said Wanda Sykes. “I've had a lot of fun working with Gain over the past few months and with their variety of scents. It’s the perfect brand to experiment with to find a scent that is your perfect match.”
While attending Blogalicious Conference 2011, I visited the Gain “Scents as Unique as You” booth, where I learned everyone has different scent preferences, scent memories and even experience scents in very different ways.
To help everyone embrace their own scent individuality and express it, Gain has a range of 13 scents like Original Fresh and Apple Mango Tango detergent and fabric softener scents.
Gain also has a variety of unique scents to choose from including: Icy Fresh Fizz, Hawaiian Aloha and Butterfly Kiss.
The Gain matchmaker program features an interactive YouTube video questionnaire, in which Wanda will lead participants through a unique, digital experience to find their own scent match based on their personality.
Through a list of characteristics, like taste in shoes and music or assessment of an inkblot, Wanda and Gain will match people up with the Gain scent that is as unique as them.
