We're CHARGED UP and getting ready for a Power Rangers Halloween after receiving a package from Costume Express filled with awesome Dino Charge products!

Nickelodeon ended their “Road to Worldwide Day of Play” in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park with a day of fun activities and cast members from their shows including The Power Rangers Dino Charge cast.

Being a Power Rangers Parent, I had to take my son to meet the cast before checking out all the different activities families could enjoy.

As it turns out, we were able to join the Power Rangers Dino Charge cast as they met with fans, striked a power pose and then joined in the “Road to Worldwide Day of Play” activities.

The Power Rangers Dino Charge cast actually joined in a few more activities, but we had to say goodbye to them since my son was ready to follow their example and join in the activities.


And so we (meaning him) went around to all the different “Road to Worldwide Day of Play” stations including

Hula Hooping
NFL Fit activities
Playing Tennis
and much much more.

Fruit of the Loom x Worldwide Day of Play

We ended our day at Fruit of the Loom booth where we received gift bag (everyone did) containing Day of Play themed underwear, t-shirt and water bottle before checking out the “Fruit of the Loom Playground Testing Zone”

Fruit of the Loom believes that kids have the right to play and to be comfortable while they do it. Their themed activities gave kids and their families an opportunity to test the comfort of Fruit of the Loom apparel against all types of play in three different obstacle courses.

At the New York City event, kids will have a chance to participate in the Fruit of the Loom Playground Testing Zone, complete with a brand-new fourth obstacle course.

As you can see we had an awesome day being active with Power Rangers Dino Charge cast during Nickelodeon “Road to Worldwide Day of Play” in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Now it's your turn!

So far our summer has been about relaxing and staying cool during the super hot days. We usually take a trip to the nearest sprinkler area to dance with the water sprouts and splash each other. Its been great!

During our latest trip to the sprinkler fun area, we took along our latest Saban Brands package which included Paul Frank products great for the summer.


We received a Paul Frank "Skurvy" Skull Beach Towel, which is great to dry off with. It was nice and soft and has a colorful pattern. The skull and bones really makes the towel stand out. No mixing it up with the other kids towel.


It's also nice and large so I can wrap it around my son after his water play to dry off. My son also used it as a super hero cape as he ran around.


During a break from the water play my son enjoyed some juice and a sandwich with Paul Frank Reusable Snack Pack and Tumbler featuring Julius Jr. The tumblers had a rubber base so it didn't slip and slide all over the place. The snack pack was a nice size and easy fit into my son mini backpack. Both items were easy to transport to where we needed to go.

Our May package from Saban Brands contained items for a MEGA playtime of fun. We received Power Rangers Super Megaforce toys which included a Red Ranger Air Glider and an Ultimate Legendary Megazord from Mega Bloks!

It goes without saying that my son was ready to rip open the boxes and get playtime started. I was barely able to take a photo of him with the toy packages before he opened them and started putting things together.


The Red Ranger Air Glider (SRP: $4.99 USD) was easy to put together. But just in case the instructions were very clear on how to build the pieces. The glider itself just needed quick adjustment and then my son was able to attach the ranger and send him off on the glider for an adventure.

The Ultimate Legendary Megazord from Mega Bloks (SRP: $14.99 USD) came with lots of pieces. Lots. Thank goodness for the instruction booklet cause this took some time and effort to build. The pieces had to fit together in a certain way to build the Rangers armor. While it wasn't incredibly difficult, it did take awhile.


Be prepared to help your child build this. But don't worry once your done both you and your child will be so proud of your Megazord which is based on the final combination of the Legendary Megazord and the Q-Rex Megazord! It's really awesome once done.

Weekends can be a hectic time for me and my son. There's the usual running around to blog and media events, after which we try to enjoy some play time.

With no time to change his clothes between activities, I like to dress my son in kids fashions that will look great and keep him comfortable anywhere we go.

One recent weekend, our schedule was full. That Saturday we went to two family bloggers events: first to the Fruit Shoot Kids Drinks event and then to The Moms and Old Navy event. After which we headed into the park for a playdate. Did I mention there was no time to change?

What my son wore

I opted for my son to wear a Paul Frank graphic tee that featured Julius the Monkey acting out the head, shoulders, knees and toes song. The shirt was bright and fun.

As unique as its namesake, New Balance Limited Edition Python 890v3 ($69.99) are daring with bright colors and a cushy ABZORB crash pad. These kids' running shoe is a playground pleaser with non-marking rubber outsole that parents will like.

My son loved what he was wearing and received many compliments on his outfit. I was happy he stayed comfortable as we dashed from one place to the next. Through it all my son looked great thanks to Paul Frank and New Balance!

Now that the weather is getting warmer, we've started taking mini trips outside to the playground. Both my son and I enjoy going outside and enjoying the warm sunny days.

Last month I received a package from Saban Brands filled with Julius Jr. themed outdoor play items including a Julius Jr. tumbler cup and outdoor activity sheets.

The activity sheets were created in partnership with the Center for Childhood Creativity (CCC), a recognized leader in early childhood development and creative play. These customized activities have combined the CCC’s overall goal with Julius Jr. key themes of playful adventure, active play, imagination and invention

These items came in very handy during our latest trip to the playground.


Before heading to the playground my son colored the inside sheet in his Julius Jr. tumbler cup. Then we picked one of the activities to complete for the day. We chose the Nature Hunt, which meant we'd pick up some leaves for a craft when we came back home.


Then we headed to the playground to swing on pipes, run across bridges and of course keep hydrated with our Julius Jr. tumbler.


Then we started collecting different leaves for our Nature Hunt project.

Once back home we cut the leaves in half, taped them down and spent time drawing the others sides. While drawing we discussed what we noticed about the leaves and how they were different.

We ended our day with more coloring, this time with new spring-themed Julius Jr. coloring sheets! We had a great day with Julius Jr.
