Mosquito Protection Tips To Enjoy The National Parks
With 37.8 million visitors to the national parks during the month of August last year, OFF!® and the National Park Foundation are teaming up to share insider tips for avoiding mosquitoes and other bugs.
- Wear protective clothing: Choose light-colored, long-sleeved shirts and pants to reduce exposed skin and discourage mosquito bites.
- Plan your activities smartly: Mosquitoes are most active at dawn and dusk, so plan your hikes and activities in mid-morning or mid-afternoon for more ideal conditions when mosquitoes are less active.
- Use a trusted repellent: Apply an EPA-registered mosquito repellent like OFF!® Deep Woods, which offers long-lasting protection for up to 8 hours (when used as directed) in wooded and high-risk areas. It also repels against mosquitoes that may carry diseases like Zika, Dengue and West Nile virus.
