Gift Ideas in Sharper Image Pop-Up Shop Times Square

This week Sharper Image opened up their Pop-Up Shop in Times Square. I attended a special media preview to get a first look at some of the home and tech products you can add to your holiday gift list.

Note: I was invited as media to this event. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

But I wasn't the only one checking out the products. I spotted Sean Astin, who was there to officially open the pop up shop, along with Jordan "Jet" Temkin, two-time International Drone League World Champ, who demoed a few remote airborne stunts with the drones.

"I mean, who doesn't love Sharper Image. Like so many of us here tonight, I grew up with Sharper Image," said Astin. "Playing with all the awesome stuff in this store takes me back, while showing off everything that Sharper Image is today ... 100 percent fun, and right in the heart of Times Square."

While it was nice to see them, I only had eyes for all the cool tech products! A few of the Sharper Image items I checked out included:

Robotosaur: When he gets angry, he roars and his eyes change color to match his mood. Wave your hands over his nose, he calms back down. Also has a motion detector-powered "hunt mode". ($99.99)

Memory Foam Pillow with Cool Touch Cover: Vented airflow with ice cool fibers keep you cool, while natural bamboo charcoal keeps odors under control and Visco elastic memory foam molds to your body ($49.99)

Drone FPV: First-person POV let's you see what the drone sees, with video that streams right to your smartphone equipped with VR viewer (included), and auto landing and take-off for maximum control ($119.99)

These are just a few items I saw in two-story pop-up shop. There's lots more to see and try out before you buy.

For those who can't make it to 42nd and Broadway, items featured at the Sharper Image pop-up can be found nationwide at major retailers such as Target, Kohl's and Bed Bath & Beyond.
