As a mom of a little boy I'm VERY familiar with the LEGO's brand. Like most families, I've wondered what to do with all those LEGO pieces we keep collecting. I recently learned about The LEGO Ideas Book and think it has some great solutions.
The LEGO Ideas Book (Hardcover)
Author: Daniel Lipkowitz
Price: $24.99
Age: 7 - 15 years
The LEGO Ideas Book is packed full of tips from expert LEGO builders on how to make jet planes reach new heights, create fantastic fortresses, swing through lush jungles, have fun on the farm, and send space shuttles out of this world!
The book is divided into six themed chapters:
VEHICLES of all shapes and sizes
BUILDINGS, from houses and farms to furniture and bridges
SPACE, with attack ships, moon buggies, and aliens
CASTLES to defend or invade
FANTASY, including pirate ships, robots, and jungle temples
PRACTICAL MAKES, from picture frames to treasure chests
Each section will have basic templates of key models (for instance, car or castle) and following spreads will show how to vary the models and adapt your own (for instance, adapting a car into a racing car or adding a drawbridge to a castle).
There will also be feature spreads focusing on Master Builders, who will share their top tips. The book includes all-new models and ideas and all-new artwork/photography.

This week I was invited to nibble on cupcakes and sip cocktails to celebrate the launch of MaggyLondon.com.
During the launch event I was lucky enough to snag an interview about fall fashion tips with Jill Martin, Today Show fashion contributor and New York Times bestselling author of "I Have Nothing to Wear"
As you can tell from the video Jill was a great interview and very funny!
After the interview I had a chance to check out the different Maggy London collections and learn more about newly designed e-commerce website MaggyLondon.com The move to an online retail site is one more way the Maggy London brand wants to offer easy access to the season’s must-have styles. A range of Fall 2011 Maggy London dresses will be available for purchase on the site, enabling fans everywhere to shop their favorite brand online.
Also on the website Jill Martin will share her exclusive Maggy London selections in a section entitled “Jill’s Picks.” Throughout the fall, the section will showcase Jill’s favorite dresses from the collection, giving shoppers fashion insight from a leading trendsetter.
Jill will also break down her favorite trends from New York Fashion Week, revealing how to try out the season’s hottest looks with picks from Maggy London. Maggy London is known for offering dresses for every occasion, and weddings are no exception. Bridesmaid dresses and additional special occasion styles can be found on the site’s new “Wedding” section.
