Family Festival Activities at Philadelphia Museum of Art
On Sunday, August 7, Philadelphia Museum of Art is hosting a Family Festival, a full day of activities for children of all ages.
It is a great way for families to beat the heat and admission is pay what you wish all day!
Feed your curiosities and dive into ideas of collecting with artist demonstrations, art making, and performances.
Artist Takeover: Emilia Brintnall (10 a.m.–3 p.m.)
Discover what kind of objects surprise and delight this local artist, and contribute to a larger-than-life art installation.
Art Kids Studio (10 a.m.–3 p.m.)
Combine objects and textures to create your own out-of-this-world still life stories.
Musical Performance: Snacktime (11 a.m. & 1 p.m.)
Join us for a dance party! Bring your best moves as Snacktime share some of their favorite tunes.
Workshop: Sweet Things in Life (11 a.m.–2 p.m.)
Decorate a larger-than-life birthday cake with teaching artist Sue Liedke.
Sketching in the Galleries (11 a.m.–2 p.m.)
Create a still life arrangement with whimsical props, and sketch a fantasy bouquet.
