3 Tips for Photo Wall Decor with HP and Genevieve Gorder
This year I plan on printing out my digital photos. I literally have thousands of digital photos on my computer, smartphone and various storage devices.
I'd love to print them out and use them to decorate for the holidays, so my friends and family can see. But I wasn't sure what to do with my photos once I have them printed.

Note: I was invited as media to this event. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
To get some ideas I was able to talk with Genevieve Gorder, TV personality and interior designer, during HP's #WarmUpYourWalls event. During the event Genevieve provided home and photo decor solutions to my dilemma. Here are 3 of her top suggestions
- Get your photos off your computer and into your life – Take the time and get the photos into real life. Whether you print them out individually, make a photo book or photo wall decor, use the to update your walls. Some ideas to help you print out photos include using to change up the décor basis season or holiday or create new décor as your kids grow up and new family portraits are taken.
- Get playful and creative with photo decor - You can change the color of your photos to sepia or black and white or add a tint to create something entirely new. Consider if you’d like to create a wall theme of just photos of the kids or a mix of people, landscapes, etc from a trip or life event. Build around a specific subject in your photos.
- Create a photo art statement Use large or small displays to make an art statement, create a family story or celebrate a life event. To create depth, mix different sizes and types of wall décor such as the gallery-wrapped HP Premium Canvas, framed enlargements and brushed silver-look edged Mounted Photos.
Multi-Panel wall decor is a hot trend—and now easy to do! HP’s new Multi-Panel Photo Canvas and Mounted Photos, where one photo is split across 2 and 4 panels and hung closely together, are a great way to showcase your favorite photos and add interest to any room. Pictures of landscapes or unique architecture, wedding photos and large group family photos all can make interesting multi-panel photo wall decor.
After speaking with Genevieve and hearing her tips, I took a look at some photo decor ideas using HP Retail Photo Services and it's unique same-day photo creations including:
New HP Multi-Panel Canvas and Mounted Photos
New HP Multi-Image Canvas and Mounted Photos
HP Photo Canvas
HP Faux Canvas
HP Mounted Photos
With so many photo decor options, I now have some great ideas to use my photos with. Thanks you HP and Genevieve Gorder.
