How Samsung Appliances Improves Life at Home

Recently Samsung Home Appliance invited me to an online preview to learn how their innovative appliances can help improve families’ lives at home.

Note: I was invited as media to this event. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

Lets be honest, for the past few months families have been dealing with extra cooking, cleaning and being home bodies. A fact that was highlighted in a recent Samsung Home Appliance CSMI GenPop Omnibus Survey (August 2020)

A few highlights from this Samsung Survey included:

  • Nearly half of American parents are wearing more than 3 hats these days. In other words, parents are no longer just parents. We’re teachers, chefs, and housekeepers, too.
  • Many people are experimenting and becoming more adventurous in the kitchen. In fact, 71% of Americans are trying new recipes. And if you look at Gen Z, that number increases to 80%.
  • These days, people are doing more laundry. Half of families with children are doing 5 or more loads per week.

Samsung understands these shifting habits and in response has launched a new brand campaign highlighting how American families use Samsung innovations to rewrite the rules for the home.

Unwriting the Rules for Life at Home

From a mop that cleans your floors for you to a range that knows your preheat settings, Samsung appliances offer everything today’s families could possibly imagine—and even a few things they can’t.

New Ways of Cooking

Samsung’s new lineup of Front Control Slide-In Ranges will get people even more excited about cooking. Features include:

  • Preheat your oven from anywhere (available on electric ranges only).
  • Monitor, and adjust cook time and temperature
    • From the SmartThings™ App on your smartphone (available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required)
    • Or through your favorite voice assistant (voice commands are available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required).
  • You can control your range with the all-new, AI-enabled Smart Dial. Just like a smart thermostat learns your temperature preferences throughout the day, the Smart Dial remembers your go-to settings and creates shortcuts, saving you time.
  • With its new Air Fry mode, you can quickly crisp up a piece of fish or sweet potato fries, right in your oven, using little to no oil.

Family Hub 2020

Family Hub for 2020 not only knows what’s inside your fridge, it also suggests recipes you can cook with those ingredients. If you’re missing any ingredients, Family Hub can order them for you from popular grocery delivery apps.

New Ways of Cleaning

The Samsung Jetbot Mop automatically and quickly removes dust and dirt from your hard floors. It has a high-capacity battery that allows it to mop for up to 100 minutes, as well as eight different cleaning modes, including an option that lets you use it by hand.

Its smart sensors allow it to navigate around your furniture, and prevent it from falling down the stairs. And the Jetbot Mop disperses just enough water to get the job done, while minimizing the amount of time it takes your floors to dry.

The Jet Stick Vacuums are cordless, lightweight, and easy to use on all types of floors within your home. They have up to 200 Watts of industry-leading suction power and a high-performance filtration system that captures 99.999% of dust particles and allergens that would normally escape back into the air.9

For a simple way to clean the dustbin after you’re finished vacuuming, just place it on top of the newly unveiled Clean Station™ to automatically empty its contents.

Samsung's AirDresser is a brand-new category new way to care for your clothing. With a powerful combination of steam and airflow, AirDresser relaxes light wrinkles, removes dust and odors, and refreshes not just your clothes, but your family’s outerwear, bedding, and soft toys, too.

It’s convenient as the seasons change, as it has nine cycles tailored for specific garments, including leather, down jackets, and winter coats.
