We received Fart Quest (Volume 1) for my 12yr son to read. He's at that stage where books are "boring" unless there's a unique spin to catch his attention. Fart Quest did just that. He described it as good mix of fantasy and humor, so he didn't mind reading it. He also enjoyed the illustations but wished the book had more of them.

Overall, I think Fart Quest (Volume 1) would be great for kids needing a fun read with a bit of adventure.

288 Pages, Ages 8-12

After their masters are vaporized in a goblin battle gone bad, Fart, Pan, and Moxie—three lowly apprentices—decide to impersonate their mentors and pick up the mantle as heroes of the realm. But they need more than a fancy robe, magic staff, and book of magical beasts to be real heroes. They need a quest!

So when The Great and Powerful Kevin puts out a call for help, seeking the coveted Golden Llama and its magical golden fart, young Fart and his friends jump at the chance and embark on a journey they were destined for.

Aaron was inspired by his life-long passion for Dungeons and Dragons and other role-playing games. This is a "silent but deadly adventure" that doesn't take itself too seriously, perfect for reluctant readers, fans of video and role playing games.
