Disney's Mulan Live Stunt Featurette and Character Posters

When I first heard about the Disney’s MULAN live action remake, I was excited. It's a great real historic story that deserves more awareness outside the Asian community. I also confess seeing more Asian actors in films also has it's appeal.

We all know how I feel about Jet Li *heart heart heart*

But Jet Li, as the Emperor, isn't the only amazing Asian actor in Disney’s MULAN live action remake. Disney has released character posters featuring more of the cast of Asian actors.

Joining him are a celebrated international cast that includes: Yifei Liu as Mulan; Donnie Yen as Commander Tung; Jason Scott Lee as Böri Khan; Yoson An as Cheng Honghui; with Gong Li as Xianniang.

While I did enjoy the animated Disney’s MULAN film, there's something special and different about seeing the story come to life. Yes even without Mushu, the dragon side kick. While he has his place in the animated version, from what I've seen in the live action Disney’s MULAN trailer, this is a different type of movie. No animated dragon needed.

But lets be real, I'm sure they'll find a way to sneak in some dragon references in Disney’s MULAN. So just hang on Mushu fans.

Speaking of the trailer, have you seen it? Check it out below

As you can see Disney’s MULAN will be filled with LOTS of action. And at the head of it all is a female warrior. I love to see women in great fighting scenes so I was excited to watch this special featurette showcasing the thrilling stunts for Disney’s “Mulan”.

Can you believe what Yifei Liu as Mulan is able to do after a few months of training? Kudos to her. I can't wait to see it all come together in the final film.

Disney’s “Mulan” opens in U.S. theaters on March 27.
