Sesame Street Everyday Heroes Club & HBO Partnership #SesameonHBONYC
We spent a fun afternoon with Sesame Street at the NY Public Library to celebrate new episodes on HBO and to learn more about the EVERYDAY HEROES CLUB.
Note: I was invited as media to this event and received a gift bag. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
On Jan. 16, SESAME STREET will launch season 46 of the award-winning show on HBO with the boldest changes to the STREET to date, including 30-minute episodes, new preschool-relevant themes, new show opening and closing songs, an updated set, a new segment called “Smart Cookies and a new cast member, Nina.
The event was filled with different family friendly activities to enjoy.

A special performance with Sesame Street Muppets Elmo, Abby and Rosita, who was joined by cast members Alan and Nina to share news about the EVERYDAY HEROES CLUB club.
They helped the kids learn what it means to be part of the "Everyday Heroes" Club, which promotes acts of kindness, big and small, including helping a friend or a family member; being kind to the environment or to animals; volunteering to help others, and so much more.
Then we saw two real life "Everyday Heroes" receive a grant from HBO to their charity of choice for their dedication to supporting their local libraries.
Patricia Kettles, Manager of the Port Richmond Library in Staten Island has gone above and beyond her traditional duties by staying after hours and walking kids home from the library.
Leela Aikens, a 14 year-old student collected enough signatures to send to local elected officials, resulting in increased library hours for the public.
We ended the event with healthy snacks, posing for photos with Cookie Monster and Grover, coloring and face painting.
What a great way to spend the day!
