Superhero Fun at Hasbro & Marvel Spectacular Event #MarvelSpectacular
A few weeks ago we answered the superhero call from Marvel and Hasbro to attend their Super Hero Spectacular event and had a full day of awesomeness.
Note: I was invited as media to this event and received a gift bag. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
The Super Hero Spectacular event was truly made for little superheroes in training (and their parents). The day was filled with different stations and activities where kids can enjoy fun with various Marvel characters.
As soon as we got to the event, it was clearly time to put my little superhero into action with some of the current and upcoming Hasbro toys and products.
- MARVEL’S AVENGERS TITAN HERO TECH INTERACTIVE HULK BUSTER ELECTRONIC ACTION FIGURE (SRP $34.99)- When near the TITAN HERO TECH AVENGERS (each sold separately), this 13-inch, movie-inspired INTERACTIVE HULK BUSTER recognizes and responds to each character with unique speech, sound and light effects!
The INTERACTIVE HULK BUSTER can recognize and respond to multiple figures at one time for an exciting play experience. He also features a great signature jack - hammer punch and repulsor chest lights. Ages 4 years +
- MARVEL’S AVENGERS TITAN HERO TECH ELECTRONIC FIGURE ASSORTMENT (SRP $19.99) - These 12-inch scale figures feature phrases that simulate conversation with each other, as well as great sound effects. IRON MAN and ULTRON also have light effects! These movie-styled electronic figures are highly decorated, heroically posed, with 5 point articulation.
The assortment of CAPTAIN AMERICA, IRON MAN, THOR and ULTRON are all recognized by the TITAN HERO TECH Interactive HULK BUSTER (sold separately), setting the stage for great storytelling! Each TITAN HERO TECH figure sold separately. Ages 4 years +
We made different versions of Mr. Potato Head as Marvel Superheros including Hulk, Captain America and Wolverine.
Dressed up as Marvel Superheros for some role play fun. My son HAD to try on the different masks and gloves for Hulk, Spider-Man and of course Iron Man
- MARVEL’S AVENGERS IRON MAN ARC FX ARMOR GLOVES (SRP $19.99) - These articulated ARC FX GLOVES feature a light-up repulsor in the palm of one glove. Raise your hand to activate lights and blasting sound effects. 1 repulsor and 2 articulated gloves included. Ages 5 years +
- MARVEL’S AVENGERS HULK GAMMA GRIP FISTS (SRP $19.99) - Pretend to smash your way through any obstacle with these foam hands. The all-new Flex Feature lets kids grip and grab to make sure no villain can escape your grasp! 2 flexing foam hands included. Ages 4 years +
- MARVEL’S ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN: WEB WARRIORS WISE CRACKING ELECTRONIC MASK (SRP $19.99) - While wearing this mask, you can hide your own identity and adopt the web-slinger’s tough persona! At just the right moment in the battle, you can activate the mask’s sounds and phrases with your chin and make the mask say things like “Whoa, spider sense is going crazy” and “Watch out, I’m swinging here!” Ages 5 years +
Then we took the web slinger challenge to use SpiderMan and his websling to knock down the bad guys.
Since my son liked getting the bad guys, our next stop was to the Playmation station to help the Avengers continue the fight for justice.
Since there's more then one way to defeat the bad guys, we also did out part by playing a few board games. These are a great way for younger superhero fans to get in on the fun without getting physical.
Since we were so good at our assignment, my son's last stop was the photo booth station to get his Marvels Avengers card and become an official superhero.
Welcome to the Avengers Team, my son....Super Squad!
After all that toy fun we ended the time by watching episodes for upcoming Marvel animated series including
Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors
Presented in a multi-episode story format, "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors" not only pairs Spidey with the Avengers, but introduces new heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe such as Agent Venom, a new Iron Spider Amadeus Cho, Cloak & Dagger, and Ka-Zar.
Additionally, for the first time in animation history, Miles Morales teams up with Spider-Man for a new adventure and he's not the only Spidey that Peter Parker will encounter in this action-packed season.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
Produced by Marvel Television, "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy" stars Peter Quill as Star-Lord, the brash adventurer who, to save the universe from its greatest threats, joins forces with a quartet of disparate misfits--fan-favorite Rocket Raccoon, a tree-like humanoid named Groot, the enigmatic, expert fighter Gamora and the rough edged warrior Drax the Destroyer. The series will premiere in 2015 on the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD.
Marvel’s Avengers Assemble
With an all-star roster consisting of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, Falcon and, occasionally--when she feels like it and only when she feels like it--Black Widow, the Avengers are a team in the truest sense. The Avengers save the world from the biggest threats imaginable--threats no single super hero could withstand.
As you can see we truly had a Spectacular day!
