Previewing 'Disney Movies Floral Exhibit' at Philadelphia Flower Show
The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show opened with the 2015 theme “Celebrate the Movies.” Since this was a subject close to my heart (I love movies!), I was honored to be invited on a media tour of the Philly Flower Show during the first day of the public opening.

Note: I was invited as media to the preview and had travel, meals and admission covered. However, any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

Thankfully I didn't have to walk to the Philly Convention Center since the group was provided with our very own Phlash Bus. Hello comfy seats!

Soon I arrived at the Philly Flower show and was ready for my close-up! Who has my bouquet?!
You might wonder what flowers and movies have in common. Well if you visit the Philly Flower show you'll be surprised to find out flowers and films have a lot in common.

To help highlight this point, the Grand Hall of the Pennsylvania Convention Center was transformed into a “Backlot,” a movie-themed gathering space features a palm tree-lined red carpet that guests walk around while movies play on a large screen. It was just SO lovely and a great way to enter the show.
Once inside I walked around to the different displays to see how they were inspired by movies.
Disney Movies Princess Inspired Floral Arrangements

This year the PHS Flower Show has a partnership with Disney and many exhibitors used Disney Movies as inspirations for their creations.

Another exhibit featured Disney’s Fantasia. Everything looked so real and amazing. I was just waiting for music to start and the brooms to start dancing.

Of course since we're talking about Disney Movies, there HAS to be a Frozen exhibit. This display blew my mind and took me right back to that moment in the movie. I was so inspired I had to my Elsa impression. Ha!

But as we all know, Disney isn't all Princess. The exhibit inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas would be a thrill for any little boy (and some grown men) attending the show. The creatures made out of flowers and shrubs is worthy of a stop and walk through of this display.
While Disney was a major theme at the Flower Show, there's lots of Non Disney exhibits to see.

You can see arrangements inspired by movie made in Philadelphia. Some really great floral inspirations based on popular movies.

You can see fashion like these handbags made using flowers, plants and seeds. Talk about creative.

There's also artwork using pressed flowers and plants. The detailing is amazing. Some of the artwork were done by school children to be entered in contest.
But the fun doesn't stop there.....

You can sit in during one of the classes. This one is about "How to Grow more Veggies and Fruits Organically".

Looking to buy a few plants of your own? There's lots to choose from in the market place from different vendors.
I only stayed a few hours and highlighted a few things, but as you can see there's LOTS for families to enjoy when visiting the Philadelphia Flower Show this year.
