James Blake at Amex EveryDay US Open Viewing Party #EveryDayMoments #usopen
This past Saturday I attended the US Open Live presented by the Amex EveryDay Card viewing party at Pier 1 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Despite the absolute sweltering heat (Indian summer anyone?), there was a nice crowd of family and friends lounging on the lawn enjoying the women's singles match.

The first 500 early birds to arrive for the viewing party received a special free Amex picnic basket filled with a Bouchon Bakery lunch and picnic blanket to layout on the lawn. In my picnic basket was a turkey sandwich, wheatberry/tomato salad and choc chip cookie! Soo delish, but I think the bottled water was an absolute necessity in that heat!
I had a chance to meet famed tennis star James Blake and his family, who were planning on attending the finals.

Mariska Hargitay, from Law & Order SVU, also made an appearance with her family to enjoy the lovely day and play some tennis with James and kids attending the event.
