The Moms 'Frozen' Movie event with Idina Menzel
On November 27th, the Disney movie Frozen opens in theaters!
I was invited as media to this event. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
At a recent event hosted by TheMoms and Samsung Galaxy, I was able to see Idina Menzel, an advance screen of the movie, and learning more about 2 new Samsung Galaxy products. It was a very busy event!
During TheMoms interview with Idina Menzel, voice of Elsa character in Frozen movie, I learned how her grandparents supported her singing and how important it is that families allow children to be creative. Introduce kids to the arts!
Idina also talked about the filming process while making the movie Frozen. She explained to the kids that it take a lot of work to match up a voice to a scene. But she really enjoys seeing the finished scene after being in the booth making sounds and reading her lines.
When asked about her thoughts about the movie and her character, Idina shared how amazing she thought Elsa was. Despite all the challenges that she had to face, Elsa was really a very loving person inside.
To start off the event, we took Frozen themed photos, including my son being made into a snow man using the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. We both enjoyed how easy and fun it was to use Dual Camera feature.
Then I learned some specs about the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Tablet, while my son built his very own snowman using the tablets features.
I'll post more about the tablets in a Tech Thursday feature, so look out for it to learn more.
After having some techie fun, it was time to watch the movie.
It's the power of love that's the magic in this movie. The Frozen movie is told during an amazing adventure to find and save Elsa, by her younger sister Anna, who is joined by Kristoff and his reindeer Sven. The trio are joined by snowman named Olaf, who's sure to melt his way into your heart. He's so adorable.
Both my son and I loved the movie. My son is 5 years old, so he likes the adventure part (sliding off a cliff, riding a reindeer, etc) while I liked the songs, storytelling and key messages. In the end, the hero of the movie ends up surprising us all but it's a welcome and overdue surprised. I was very glad to see that Disney allowed another way to have a fairy tale ending. Kudos to Disney!
So this holiday season make sure to take your family to see Disney's Frozen, it's sure to leave you with that warm loving feeling.
Walt Disney Animation Studios, presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure.
Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.
Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf (voice of Josh Gad), Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
The film is directed by Chris Buck (“Tarzan,” “Surf’s Up”) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, “Wreck-It Ralph”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Winnie the Pooh,” “The Princess and the Frog”). Featuring music from Tony winner Robert Lopez (“The Book of Mormon,” “Avenue Q”) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit”), “Frozen” is in theaters in 3D on November 27, 2013.
