Verizon Wireless "Back To School" Technology

This month many parents are sending their children back to school. From kindergarten to college, parents had to stock up on notebooks, #2 pencils and various types of technology. These days the digital world has expanded into schools. Now Trapper Keepers have been replaced by tablets, and the pencil with a stylus.

Verizon Wireless Back To School Twitter Party

With my son starting Kindergarten in September, this is a topic close to my heart. Also, I recently became a Verizon #VZWBuzz Lifestyle Blogger and will be participating in this weeks #VZWBuzz tweetchat.

Join Verizon Wireless this Friday August 30, 2013 at 3pm EST to discuss how can parents adjust to the role of technology, while planning for back to school.

Hashtag is: #VZWBuzz
Hosted by: @VerizonWireless

During the tweetchat, a few resources that will be highlighted that are perfect for any busy family, especially as they prepare for the new school year include.
  • Verizon FamilyBase helps parents stay on top of their children's smartphone use. Through FamilyBase, parents can monitor calling, texting and app purchases and usage, set time restrictions (to disable the phone during school hours, for example), review contact lists and set trusted contacts.
  • Family SharePlan is a plan that allows up to 5 lines of shared minutes and messages. A Family SharePlan offers unlimited calling to Verizon customers, unlimited night and weekends and access to local web without any additional charges. This is ideal if you want to manage multiple wireless numbers under the same account.
  • Family Locator lets parents monitor kids’ arrivals and departures, stay connected and send automatic scheduling updates when plans get changed or appointments are made.
