Living room vs Playroom - Wordless Wednesday
This weekend while my son was away, I had the apartment all to myself. This was the scene of my living room.
This photo was taken on a good play day. When the toys are mostly contained. But on some days the toys will take over and be everywhere. No matter how I try, I can't stop my son toys from taking over the living room.
It's gotten to the point where I've given up, removed all the furniture from the living room and allowed it to become his playroom. All I need now are those color rubber mats *sigh*
Does your child have their own play area?

I have had to do a lot of weeding out and buying containers to put things in and we still have issues.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah I have Landon toys alll over our living room. I wish we had a separate play space for the boys!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! We have a playroom and the toys get pulled into the living room. Our playroom looks like yours EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. It's insane!!
ReplyDeleteIn our last house, we turned the dining room into a playroom. A MUST for this house was 4 bedrooms AND a playroom. Now they have their own playroom and I can just close the door. We still get a trickle of toys in the living room/dining room/kitchen - but it stays MUCH more contained!
ReplyDeleteToys do seem t take over when the kids are little! It does get better as they get older though, hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI saw a meme once that said something to the effect of, "Trying to clean when you have children is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos"!
ReplyDeleteThey have a play room, but it seems like it's really our whole house!

We used to have a "great room". It has since become the play room. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteWe used our dining room as a playroom when the kids were little. It is nice for them to have space
