Noodle & Boo Pregnancy Skin Care Line Review

"Growing, Stretching and Loving What is to Come." I think this pretty much sums up the essence of the wonderful pregnancy skin care line by Noodle & Boo.

Note: I received a product sample for review purpose. No other compensation was received. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

Written by guest blogger, Keonté Smith, who is the mother of one son (with an April 2013 baby on the way) and resides in Maryland. She started blogging on Mommy2k in 2008 to share stories that depicted her genuinely fun, sometimes depressing, and unpredictable adventures in motherhood.

As my body begins to stretch and expand ALL OVER, I am always on the lookout for products that will protect my skin, enhance my appearance and relax my spirit. It may sound like a big request to fill, but the simplicity of a well-made product can work wonders. That is what I have experienced with three items from Noodle & Boo.

Noodle & Boo pampers mommies-to-be and new moms with luxurious pregnancy and skin care products that nurture and protect while offering peace of mind that there are no harmful ingredients that could hurt a developing baby. or nursing newborn. Each ingredient is researched to ensure its appropriateness before it is used in any of the products so pregnant women and mommies can enjoy the benefits of clinically proven products that offer amazing results.

I was sent the Noodle & Boo Elasticity Oil ($34), The Balm ($24) and Love Light Candle ($20).

I noticed the simple and chic packaging right away. The box was covered in subtle pink and white strips and topped with a navy blue logo, bow and writing. It definitely had a bit of sophistication.

Each box has a description of the product, directions on how to use it, warnings and the ingredients listed on the back. I should add that a few perks of this pregnancy skin care line include the fact that it is made in the USA, is cruelty free and does not test on animals. These are great enough factors to persuade you to try out the line.

Noodle & Boo Elasticity Oil ($34)

  • Relieves dry and itchy skin including belly area
  • Safe to use as maternity massage oil
  • Hypoallergenic and clinically tested for sensitive skin
Noodle & Boo The Balm ($24)

  • Long lasting moisture relieves dry, chapped and callused hands and feet
  • Organic shea butter created the perfect base for this insensitive hand and foot cream
  • Organic sunflower oil softens and moisturizes dry skin
Noodle & Boo Love Light Candle ($20)

  •  100% cotton wick for a clean burn
  • Delicate fragrance is delivered in a soy blend of essential oils
  • Available in 12 oz. frosted glass apothecary jar
What I liked most about each product is the delicate scent. During my pregnancy, I have a heightened sense of smell. I am very sensitive to a lot of things and anything unpleasant causes nausea. I noticed that these products were just the right combination of fragrances. They were not too over-bearing on my senses. I could tolerate the smell.

These items are considered luxurious. In fact, several celebrities – Tia Mowry, Celine Dion, Selma Blair, Angie Harmon– use Noodle & Boo products on both themselves and their child(ren).  Even though I am a frugal shopper and consider the prices to be a bit out of my comfort range, I will say that quality prevails over cost. Besides, one could add these items to a baby shower registry and not have to spend a dime.

Noodle & Boo will hopefully take me through these last weeks of pregnancy and keep my skin, and spirit, looking and feeling refreshed.

If you are interested in trying any of the products mentioned in this post, or want to check out other Noodle & Boo products, you can find their products at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus and Von Maur.
