Can Nike+ Kinect Training DVD Get Me in Shape?

After going back to work full time, I spent most of my weekdays (and some weekends) sitting at a desk. Of course this didn't help keep me in shape. But now that I've taken a break from working, I used this summer to become active again. But I'm still so out of shape! I need some help! I think it's time I put my Kinect for Xbox 360 into use for more then video games for my son!

On Oct. 30, “Nike+ Kinect Training,” a personalized training experience with athletic expertise will be available! “Nike+ Kinect Training” brings world-class Nike training directly into the home to help meet fitness goals.
  • “Nike+ Kinect Training” is available exclusively on Kinect for Xbox 360.
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios
  • Developer: Sumo Digital-Microsoft Studios
  • Format: DVD
  • ESRB Rating: E for Everyone
  • Pricing: $49.99 USD
  • Availability: Oct. 30, 2012

So why am I interested in “Nike+ Kinect Training"?

I like that it uses the Kinect sensor to see how the body moves to identify areas for improvement,. It also creates a personalized workout plan just for the user. I'm not really a fan of one size fit all exercise programs. I need something that will work with my body to help me get fit correctly. “Nike+ Kinect Training" customized program also evolves over time so I'm not at the same level as I workout

Every 4 weeks I can received fitness assessments so I know if I'm on target. I can also work out with friends over Xbox LIVE (Online multiplayer requires Xbox LIVE Gold membership. Sold Separately) and tap into the Nike+ community. I think that's pretty cool since we all need some encouragement and support right?

  1. I am looking forward to trying this myself. My sister was the creator of the game...she has worked hours and hours on this! Good luck with the exercise...
