Bumbo Baby Seat Proper Use Reminder

A while ago I shared how my son loved his Bumbo seat. It's a great product for parents and babies alike as it assists babies to sit upright, and it is safe for its labeled and intended use on the floor. However, over the past few years there have been some preventable injuries to children because of improper use of the seat.

Since last year, the distributor of the Bumbo Seat has been working closely with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to remind consumers to follow the directions when using the seat, which include NOT using it on an elevated surface, NOT using it as a car seat, NOT using it in water.

Please view the below video to learn how to properly use the Bumbo Baby Seat

For the maker and distributor of the Bumbo Baby Seat, their highest priority is the safety of children. The Bumbo Baby Seat helps babies sit upright and must be used only when babies can adequately support their own heads.

Babies are active and curious and may wiggle out of the seat, which is why a baby should never be left unattended in the seat and caregivers should always follow these basic safety guidelines:
  • Use the Bumbo Seat ONLY on a floor-level surface
  • Do NOT use the Bumbo Seat on any elevated surface
  • Do NOT use the Bumbo Seat as a car or bath seat or in water
  • NEVER leave a baby unattended
Please use your Bumbo seat properly and lets keep our babies safe!
