Planning for New York Wine Expo 2012 @NewYorkWineExpo

Last year I attended the New York Wine Expo to cover the launch of Avocados from Mexico “Taste the Wow” tour. While there I just happened to meet Leslie Sbrocco, Founder of Thirsty Girl, a community of women passionate about wine, food, travel, libations and fun.

Leslie and I spoke about the joys of wine and friendship. We both agreed that more women needed more enjoyment of both! Leslie explained that planning monthly (or weekly) socials to learn more about wine is a great group activity and easy to do. Her site offers wine education seminars and community support for women interested.

I wish I could have chatted with Leslie more but she had a TV interview to finish and I had to head back home. On my way out I did stop by a few booths.

One booth sign said they had the secret to the perfect Sangria! Of course I had to test out their recipe.

Another booth offered chocolate to go with your wine. You KNOW I had to stop there. Yum!

As I walked to the exit my eyes roamed over all the different tables offering wines from all over the world. I was amazed to see some countries made wines and wondered how their wines tasted.

Since I didn't get a chance to fully "cover" the New York Wine Expo last year, this year I'm REALLY looking forward to it.
