Tommy Hilfiger Launches iPad Fit Guide

Tommy Hilfiger has launched its first iPad-specific app – a fit guide for classic sportswear chinos and denim styles. The app, available through www.apple.com, launched in-store in the U.S. for Summer 2011 as a tool for associates to demonstrate the various fits and styles available for Tommy Hilfiger chinos and denim.

For Summer 2011 the app focuses on Tommy Hilfiger sportswear chinos and denim with 6 styles for men and 5 styles for women. For Fall 2011, the app will expand to include the full Hilfiger Denim collection, offering customers detailed views of more than 15 silhouettes for men and women.

The fit guide uses video imaging to capture a 360 degree view of the clothing as models walk and move across the screen. Customers can compare the fit and movement of different silhouettes, view alternative styling suggestions, and read specifics on the cut of each pant. The app provides customers with details on the rise (high, mid or low), fit (regular or slim) and leg (skinny, boot or straight) for each style.

For Summer 2011, the app launched in four U.S. Tommy Hilfiger Flagship stores: 5th Avenue, New York; SoHo, New York; South Beach, Florida and Aventura, Florida. For Fall 2011, the app will also be featured in Hilfiger Denim stores in the U.S.

The app launched in four languages: English, French, Spanish, and Dutch.
