Can I get a Peep! Peep? I have been selected to be a "Mommy Reporter" at the Day Out with Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 at the Delaware River Railroad Excursions.

Pulling out of the station for its 16th consecutive ride on the rails, the Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 will visit more than 45 cities in the United States and Canada. Day Out With Thomas is the only place for families to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of everybody's favorite No. 1 engine, Thomas the Tank Engine, and enjoy Thomas-themed activities at the Imagination Station, including stamps, temporary tattoos and hands-on arts and crafts. Each year the tour grows, traveling to new destinations, adding new activities and welcoming new visitors.

Activities Include:
  • A 25-minute (approximate) ride with Thomas the Tank Engine
  • An opportunity to meet Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of The Railway
  • Activities for the whole family, including arts & crafts, storytelling, video viewing, live music, and more
  • Commemorative activities, merchandise and giveaways focusing on steam engines and diesel engines to celebrate the 2011 Thomas & Friends DVD movie "Day of the Diesels" (Sept. 2011, Lionsgate)
  • Storytelling, video viewing, live music, magic shows, miniature golf, crane demonstrations, blacksmithing, and more.
Take a look at the Day Out with Thomas Schedule and choose an event that you and your family might be interested in attending. I will be covering the event by tweeting from there and blogging about it after, posting photos and more!

Thomas the Tank Engine will also share breaking news reports through his Twitter feed--

  1. Can't wait to read your review. I was planning on going out there today, but cancelled because the weather was so crappy.

  2. Your little one will love the Day Out With Thomas. We took the twins a couple of years ago. We didn't tell them ahead of time where we were going. I wish I had a video of the looks on their faces when they came around the corner and there sat THOMAS!!!!!!! They loved everything about the day, and to be quite honest, hubs and I did too.

But just a heads up - I bought them each an "official" Thomas shirt, and of course they wanted to wear them immediately. Unfortunately a couple hundred other little kids were wearing the exact same "official" shirt, and all the kids look alike!

  3. What a fun opportunity that your son will love! My daughter is sort of into Thomas, but only sometimes. He's a classic though, my older niece and nephew watched him a decade ago.
