As the weather gets warmer my thoughts turn to afternoon picnics in the park snacking on fruits, cheese and of course wine!

My latest wine research led me to Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz, which was described as a perfect wine to enjoy with all types of snacks and foods. Of course I agreed to a review so I could research this claim for myself :)

MY REVIEW:

After my first sip I understood why it's called a sweet shiraz. It really is sweet. Might be a bit of a surprised if your use to drier wines. But you will soon got over it and tasted the other flavors. Jam Jar has a defined berry fruit flavor that very pleasant. The label said it contains blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries with dark chocolate undertones.

As I tasted the wine with different food flavors it blended well. While it can be enjoyed alone it's definitely a wine that goes great with food. Jam Jar has a nice and clean after taste. Definitely a great wine to take along for a warm weather picnic.

About:

Jam Jar is a Sweet Shiraz that was born out of the realization that there are not a lot of options available to consumers seeking quality sweet red wine. This fresh, fruity, semi-sweet Shiraz aims to fill that void. Jam Jar goes well with everything from mac & cheese to burgers to chocolate!

  39. I would love this giveaway simply because I love wine and haven't been able to find a single sweet shiraz. My fiance and I love to try new wine. We would pair this with two wonderful meals Lemon Herb roasted chicken, red skin garlic cheese mashed potatoes, and a nice buttery broccoli medley. The second choice would be some juicy steak broiled in a marsala wine reduction sauce with some sauteed cremini mushrooms, sweet cream corn, and some fresh bread with butter.
Being new parents its a simply nice way to have a relaxing evening, and I know we will love it!
This wine sounds delicious and sweet and it would be nice for a change to have a sweet wine with a savory dinner that isn't white =)
