Chilly Fun at Minus5 Experience Easter Egg Hunt #minus5 #FrozenEasterEggHunt

Just in time for the Easter weekend, we had a first chilly look at Minus5 Experience, located in New York Hilton Midtown, during their 4th annual Frozen Easter Egg Hunt happening April 14 - April 16).

Did you know that Minus5 Experience is family friendly?! From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., children and families are welcome. I didn't know! Once I knew this I was excited to share my first visit with my son for a fun family activity.

After we arrived and checked in, we had to get ready to enter the ice wonderland.

First thing we needed to do was pick our hats. My son chose a wolf hat while I went for faux fur. Then we chose our coats and gloves. While my son went with a kid size bomber, I had to complete my faux fur theme! After getting our ice room "gear", I used one of the available lockers to store our coats, backpacks and devices (no smartphones allowed inside) at no extra charge.

Then it was time to enter the ice room and find those frozen eggs! My son received his frozen Easter egg hunt list and got started. Following the clues he visited each icy area looking for the eggs. While I did help him a few times, for the most part he had a blast finding all the eggs himself. We even found the frozen fish, who actually glows in the dark. Bonus!

After we checked off his list, it was time to sit back and chill. Literally

Let me just say that inside the ice zone is AMAZING. While it's basically one big room, it has different sections with seasonal and NYC area themes including Statue of Liberty and Game of Thrones Ice Throne. All with hand crafted! There's area covered in deerskin's for sitting and admiring everything.

Before taking our seat, we headed over to the ice bar to get family friendly mocktails. We received our drinks in ice cups. Cups made out of actual real ice! We had to be sure to hold them with both hands because they might slip and fall. No way! We held tight to our cups and enjoyed our mocktails. So yummy!

While we wanted to stay a bit more, my son started to feel the chill. So we headed out to collect our Easter gift bag. Both my son and I was so impress with out first Minus5 Experience. It was truly the collect experience. We plan on going back!
