The wait is almost over LEGO Batman fans. The LEGO Batman Movie will open in theaters on February 10, and I strongly encourage you to go see it. We attended an advance screening a few days back (thanks Warner Bros. Pictures’!) and enjoyed the movie so much.
Note: I was invited by Warner Bros. Pictures to the advanced screening. However any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
While going into the screening I knew that Will Arnett as LEGO Batman would bring the laughs, the LEGO Batman movie offered more besides a good chuckle. The movie also offered something for everyone including longtime fans boys to moms supporting their son's inner superhero (or even their own. Hello Batgirl!).
So I'm sharing 5 reasons to see The LEGO Batman Movie, because really it's a film anyone will enjoy.

Hands down no one can do LEGO Batman like Will. There's such a great mix of witty egotistical sarcasm mixed with a secret tender heart. It's amazing to see (hear) him save the city as a hero but still struggle to let others into his inner bat circle.
A nod to ALL Batman fans

Unexpectedly there was a few moments (and costume changes) that highlighted past Batmans, even the 60's batman and a hint at the Alfred Batman. This was a great way to give longtime batman fans a film treat and tie it all into the LEGO Batman Movie.
The Parenting Angle
We all know that Bruce Wayne adopts Dick Grayson who became Robin (I lost count of which number!) but this version of how it happens and how they form a bond is new, hilarious and very touching. We watch as LEGO Batman tries to resist becoming a "father" figure while secretly parenting Robin. There's a scene when LEGO Batman does the parent arm and it's SO relateable for both kids and parents.
Batgirl: A Strong, Smart and Capable Female Superhero
A superhero for females everywhere. Rosario Dawson does a great job bring the personality of both LEGO Barbara Gordon and LEGO Batgirl alive. She's not afraid to standup to Batman and challenge his views on crime fighting, accepting that he needs friends and family and why she can't call him Batboy. Females young and old will love seeing her on screen.
There's SO many types of inside jokes in the LEGO Batman Movie but I don't want to list them all. That will spoil the fun. So I'll just share about one of my favorites. Because when it happened I laughed so hard. I'm sure I embarrassed my son but hey...
So there's scene with LEGO Batman and the LEGO Justice League. Any Batman fan knows how he feels about being part of the Justice League and this scene is a kick back to that. Batman fans will find it so funny and sorta ironic the table gets turned on LEGO Batman but it just leads to him finding and appreciate his Bat family.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure.
But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
Will Arnett reprises his starring role from "The LEGO Movie" as the voice of LEGO Batman, aka Bruce Wayne. Zach Galifianakis ("Muppets Most Wanted," the "Hangover" films) stars as The Joker; Michael Cera (TV’s "Arrested Development") as the orphan Dick Grayson; Rosario Dawson (TV’s "Daredevil") as Barbara Gordon; and Ralph Fiennes (the "Harry Potter" films) as Alfred.
