We're big Nickelodeon fans (TMNT!) so we looked forward to checking out the Thrive Global’s Pop-Up Store and enjoying some NickJr themed activities over the weekend.
Note: I was invited as media to the event. However any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
Since we visited early, we had the place mostly to ourselves. Which was cool, since my son scored some one on one time with a Nickelodeon illustrator. Seriously. She shared how she draws for some of our favorite Nick Jr shows including Shimmer and Shine.
Naturally his lead to my son telling her that he's good at drawing also. Which lead to them drawing a picture for each other. She grew him a picture of a TMNT (of course) and he grew her a picture of a dinosaur (again, of course).
While they were busy talking and drawing together (no one invited me to draw!), I checked out the other fun activities and games families could enjoy.
The themed activities were part of "Beyond the Backpack" for young ones and their parents. Not only could families enjoy NickJr branded activities but they also received an oversized, fill-in-the-blank storybook that has helpful tips about school.
As you can see it's a real fun area.
But it's a limited time experience between Thrive Global and Nickelodeon, so Saturday, Jan 14 is the last day families can enjoy it all.
If you stop by, make some time to check out fun "adult" activities in the Thrive store including free massages, virtual-reality labs, sleep and recharging products, the latest in wearable technology, and even a meditation space and a nap room.
