Not Scary NYC Halloween Events & Parades

Halloween is THIS WEEKEND! If you in live in the NYC area, there's TONS of not scary events and activities families can enjoy. Here are a few I've learned about.




Coney Island Children's Halloween Parade:
Saturday, October 29th (10am)

Come to Coney Island for the 7th annual Coney Island Children's Halloween Parade! It's open to all children under 15 with great prizes for the contest winners!


LC Kids Trick-Or-Treat
Saturday, October 29th (11:00am–2:30pm)

Lincoln Center invites costumed kids and families for a festive Halloween celebration at its second annual Trick-or-Treat, a fun-filled day of free events, activities, and performances.

Throughout the day: Trick-or-treating at Lincoln Center venues and public spaces; scavenger “haunt” activity stations around the plazas, presented by Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse; Children’s Museum of Manhattan craft activity on Hearst Plaza; stilt walkers on Josie Robertson and Hearst Plazas; #LCKids costume contest; and partner giveaways and activities.


Luna Park Halloween Harvest
Saturday, October 29th, and Sunday October 30th

This is your last chance to experience all the spooktacular magic of Halloween Harvest! Gary the Great is back with even more ticks up his sleeve, along with Story Time with author, Doreen Cronin, on Saturday.

On Sunday, we'll be clowning around with Romeo the clown and later that day author, Alyssa Capucilli, will be here for Story Time! Also FREE petting zoo and pony rides, face painting and balloon making, and don't forget the best part, thrilling rides!


Halloween at Brooklyn Children's Museum
Sunday, October 30th, (10am-5pm)

Pumpkins, bats, webs, and spooky costumes and more mark Halloween at BCM. Come dressed to impress as the Museum celebrates Halloween with its visitors. Join us for a spooky good time complete with Halloween-inspired activities that include decorating your own canvas trick-or-treating bag, learning about bats and spiders, and participating in a costume contest! Take a photo in front of a festive backdrop to remember the day. General Museum admission applies.

Note to Parents: Halloween at BCM is a candy-free event. Enjoy Halloween-themed activities and make crafts to take home before you head out for your trick or treating.


BKB KIDS Halloween Party
October 30 (11 AM-1 PM)

Join Brooklyn Boulders Queensbridge for a one-of-a-kind interactive Halloween party. The rock climbing facility will turn into a spooky kingdom haunted by the Curse of the Carabiner. Your children will crawl through massive spiderwebs in our cave, solve the Riddle Troll’s tricky puzzles, and climb the haunted chimney to help the citizens of Queensbridge free their beloved Queen Courtney.

Kids of all ages can trick-or-treat, interact with quirky characters, and join in the quest to save Queensbridge.

Tickets are $10 per person when purchased online, and include facility access, gear rental, snacks by Clif Kids, and some spooky surprises.


Halloween with the Sugar Hill Children's Museum
Sunday, October 30th (12:00PM-5:00PM)

Join Sugar Hill Children's Museum for a fantastic celebration and costume parade Bring the entire family for a fun-filled day of face painting, music, storytelling, art-making workshops, and more


2nd annual "Trick-or-Treat with East Midtown" event
Monday, October 31 (3:00pm–7:00pm)

East Midtown Partnership will host its 2nd annual "Trick-or-Treat with East Midtown" event in East Midtown, Manhattan this Halloween. Families and children (Ages 12 and under) are invited to check-in at Tramway Plaza where they will pick up a FREE trick-or-treat bag and pumpkin map that will lead them on an exciting excursion to 80+ participating local businesses in the neighborhood.

The little ghouls, witches and goblins will also get into the spooky spirit with FREE face-painting, EMP’s FREE haunted-house photo booth, and more exciting treats at Tramway Plaza.
