Celebrating The Angry Birds Movie with KidzVuz at Bronx Zoo #AngryBirdsMovie
To get ready for the release of Angry Birds Movie, we joined KidzVuz for an advanced screening followed by a Angry Birds themed day at the Bronx Zoo.
Note: I was invited as media to this event and received a gift bag. While this is a sponsored post, any personal views expressed are always 100% my own
Our first activity was seeing The Angry Birds Movie! Both my son and I enjoyed seeing our favorite gaming birds on the big screen.
The story of Red's adventure against the Pigs to find the stolen eggs is both touching and funny. Helping Red on his adventure are fellow birds Chuck and Bomb.
By the end of the movie the bird trio not only showed those bad piggies who's boss but also formed an amazing birdship (yes I made that word up) that helps to warm Red's heart and make him less Angry. But still don't mess with him. Ha!

After such a fun and heart warming story, we couldn't wait to visit the Bronx Zoo and continue our day with KidzVuz. We enjoyed a nice lunch (sorry no photos, was busy eating) before heading out to catch the Birds in Flight show.
During “Birds in Flight,” presented by JetBlue, we learned a lot about different types of birds including macaws, condors, falcons, hawks, vultures, and others.
We were amazed as the birds literally flew over our heads and did other mid-air acrobatics. We learned about their natural flight behaviors, lifestyles and the conservation needs of the species.
Some lucky guest were able to interact with the birds as live perches to help with feeding.
What's funny is during the show a few birds decided to do their own thing and fly around into the trees. All while "calling" very loudly. While the audience were safe and had no need to worry, I had to laugh that these birds were channeling their inner Angry Birds.
After the “Birds in Flight,” we headed to other parts of the Zoo to enjoy other The Angry Birds crafts and other bird themed activities including posing for a photos with Red, coloring and making mini binoculars for bird watching.
It was a great way to end our Angry Birds day with KidzVuz!
Now in theaters, the 3D animated comedy, The Angry Birds Movie, we'll finally find out why the birds are so angry.
The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds - or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders.
But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it's up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
Starring: Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale,Keegan-Michael Key, Ike Barinholtz, Tituss Burgess, with Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage
