Review: Bright Star Musical by Steve Martin & Edie Brickell

Living in New York City has so many advantages and one of them are the bright lights of Broadway. I have been attending shows since I was a young girl. I try to catch a show as often as possible, so I was thrilled when I was invited to attend a preview of new musical Bright Star.

I absolutely loved the show. It was one of the best that I have seen. I have a feeling that this will become an instant hit on Broadway. The show is currently in previews and tickets are priced as low as $39. You can use our special discount code BSBLOG303 from now until June 12, 2016

Bright Star Musical by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell

From the genius minds of Grammy winners Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, and Tony Award winning director Walter Bobbie comes Bright Star a musical that will tug at your heart strings.

It is set during two different time periods in North Carolina. It's a tale of young love between Alice, a farmer's daughter and Jimmy Ray, son of the Mayor. From different worlds united by the love they have for each other. I don't want to give too much away but there is heartache and loss. You will laugh and cry but the music will carry you through.
