Learning About Dolby Technology at Dolby Cinema LA Launch Event
A few weeks ago, I had a whirlwind trip to sunny CA courtesy of Dolby Laboratories, for a fun 3 day trip to experience the Dolby Cinema launch event at AMC Prime in Burbank and learn how Dolby technology is being used in different areas.
Note: Dolby Laboratories invited me on an all expense paid trip to Los Angeles. While I'm part of Dolby influencer program and shared different activities during the trip, any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

After flying in to LAX, the Dolby team helped me check into the swanky W Hollywood Hotel. The hotel has great modern rooms and even a rooftop pool!
After getting settled in, I met the Dolby team for dinner at The Stage Restaurant, which is known for California Fusion meals and live outdoor entertainment.
Dinner at The Stage was delicious! If you plan to visit Burbank, I highly recommend eating at The Stage!
After dinner, the group headed over to the AMC Burbank theater to watch newly released The Martian in Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime.
The next day, I joined the Dolby team for a behind the scenes tour of the new IHeartRadio Theater in LA, a new venue outfitted with the latest state of the art sound and lighting.
Located at the Burbank Studios in the former home of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," the performance space holds about 560 people and can be used for iHeartRadio album release parties, and TV and radio broadcasts.
The space can also hold movie screenings, tour rehearsals and other activities which makes it an one of a kind venue to do both live performances or movie screenings really well. Most places can't do both so that adds to the appeal of this space.
After a quick tour and grabbing another delish lunch at Granville Cafe we headed back over to AMC Burbank theater for Dolby Labs Master Class presentation on the Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. More on that in another post!
What a jam packed but fun day of backstage tours and media events!
