This Halloween, get ready for some tricks, treats and lots of spook-tacular fun at the Sony Wonder Technology Lab (SWTL) with the 17th annual Wonderween event.
Note: I was invited as media to this event. No other compensation was received. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
We attended Wonderween 2014 at Sony Wonder Technology Lab and had a blast!
We decorated digital photos with funny addins, which then displayed on the large screen.
Then we joined a Monster Mask Making class.
Of course got some game time in.
Then joined the dance party!
After all that fun we received a goodies bag to take home.
Wonderween is a great mix of themed fun and technology (of course!). Get ready to enjoy it this year with your family!
This free family-friendly Halloween event, which takes place on Saturday, October 31, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., in midtown Manhattan, invites little ghouls and goblins of all ages to come decked out in their favorite Halloween costume and catch a monstrous movie, make some creepy crafts, hear a spooky story and go home with gobs of ghoulish goodies.
This year, children and parents alike will have the opportunity to participate in the all-new (not too) Spooky Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win fun prizes! In addition, they can learn all about the world of science as they mix up a recipe of gross proportions by creating their own ghost slime at the Ghostly Goo Workshop (12-1 p.m.; 2-3 p.m.).
Visitors will also get to create a personalized Wonderween souvenir at the Horrific Halloween Ornaments workshop (10 a.m.-12 p.m.; 12-2 p.m.).
The Halloween fun continues with a number of activities, including
- Visiting the Freaky Photo Station (10 a.m.-12 p.m.; 2-4 p.m.)
- Spooky Story-telling (10:30-11:30 a.m.; 3-4 p.m.)
- Frightful Face Painting (12-2 p.m.; 3-4 p.m.)
There will be free movie screenings throughout the day in SWTL’s High Definition Theater. Children’s Halloween favorites, such as “Dora the Explorer: Boo!,” “Elmo Says Boo!,” “Yo Gabba Gabba: Halloween” and “Ghostbusters” will be featured.
All screenings require separate tickets which can be reserved. A number of tickets will be made available for guests who do not make a reservation and will be distributed 30 minutes prior to the start of the screening on a first-come, first-served basis.
