Iron Giant Movie: Signature Edition Re-Release in Theaters #IronGiant
Warner Bros. “The Iron Giant: Signature Edition”, a full-length animated motion picture, will be re-released in theaters, remastered and enhanced with two all new scenes, for a limited time.
Note: I was invited as media to the movie screening. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
During a special media screening, I was able to experience the movie and remember how amazing both the story-lines and visuals are.
While parts of the story-lines seems outdated (hide under a desk during a nuclear attack?!) Lots of the characters and story-lines are way ahead of the times. Even for now.
The underlining message of friendship and making our own choices in life (good or bad) is a classic idea that never goes out of style.
Make sure to catch The IRON GIANT: Signature Edition special event Fathom Events screening on Wednesday, September 30, with an encore event on Sunday, October 4.

Winner of nine Annie Awards, “The Iron Giant” is an animated adaptation of Ted Hughes' Cold War fable, a giant alien robot crash-lands near the small town of Rockwell, Maine, in 1957.
Exploring the area, a local 9-year-old boy, Hogarth (voice of Eli Marientha), discovers the robot (voice of Vin Diesel), and soon forms an unlikely friendship with him. When a paranoid government agent, Kent Mansley, becomes determined to destroy the robot, Hogarth and beatnik Dean McCoppin (Harry Connick Jr.) must do what they can to save the misunderstood machine.
The voice cast also included Jennifer Aniston and Christopher McDonald.
Directed by Brad Bird, produced by Allison Abbate and Des McAnuff, screenplay written by Tim McCanlies and Brad Bird, “The Iron Giant” was first released in the summer of 1999 by Warner Bros.
Following the rerelease in theaters, a high -definition version of “The Iron Giant:
Signature Edition” will be available to purchase from digital retailers in the fall of 2015.
This film has been rated PG for fantasy action violence, language, some thematic material and smoking
