In order to honor American creativity and innovation, The LEGO group is helping the National Museum of American History open their new Innovation Wing by bringing a community build to the Washington D.C. community of the largest LEGO American Flag ever made – 8’x14’, 560lbs, 109,200 bricks!

More than 15,000 museum visitors helped LEGO master builders create the flag.

What amazing about this 30 second time lapse video is that it actually covers 11 hours! The finished model is 9.5' tall and 14' wide and took over 100,000 bricks to build.
