Behind the Scenes of Hunks & Hounds of Louie’s Legacy’s 2016 Calendar #HunksandHounds

It's not often I get to visit a photo shoot. But a few weeks ago I was invited to strike a pose during a behind the scene peak of Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue 2016 #HunksandHounds Calendar photo shoot, which features shelter pets. And yes hunks

Note: I was invited as media to this event. However, any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

Celebrity photographer Mike Ruiz and Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue are collaborating once again on their second annual “Hunks and Hounds,” 2016 calendar which pairs twelve rescue dogs from Louie’s Legacy with very attractive male models, all in the name of supporting the rescue’s outstanding work.

During my time at the shoot, I watched as Mike Ruiz photographed different pooches and their human models. The dogs were amazing to watch and posed so well! While there was "hunk" next to them, clearly the dogs were the main focal point of the photos.

But to be fair, I did give some attention to one of the models. I was hoping to get some time with the doggie model but the dog was busy. LOL. So I spoke with Adam Lindo, the human model instead.

Adam shared how excited he was to be part of the calendar. Of course he's a dog lover but more important the calendar helps raise awareness and support to help the shelter pets in Louie’s Legacy care.

Louie’s Legacy, incorporated in 2009, saved more than 1,100 pets in 2014 from high kill shelters or other unsavory situations. Known for taking animals with medical needs, senior pets and difficult-to-place breeds in addition to young, highly adoptable animals, the rescue spends hundreds of thousands of dollars bringing each pet to health, happiness and safety. Every pet is spayed or neutered, carefully brought up to veterinary standards and microchipped prior to placement in a meticulously screened forever home.

While it was all good fun to hangout on set with the models (both dog and human0, more important is that the photos taken will be featured in the #HunksandHounds Calendar for sale to help this amazing cause.

Mike Ruiz, a world-renowned photographer, creative director and director is also very important—an animal lover of epic proportions. His work and biography can be seen at www.mikeruiz.com
