Tamera Mowry Travel Tips as Residence Inn Mom of the Year #RIMom
Right in time for Mothers Day, Residence Inn invited me to visit the new Residence Inn World Trade Center location to meet with Tamera Mowry, their Residence Inn Mom of the Year 2015.
Note: I was invited as media to this event and tour. No other compensation was received. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
As Tamera Mowry-Housley came on stage to share why she's excited to be a Residence Inn Mom, she was the perfect image of motherhood with her baby bump.
Residence Inn gifted Tamera special shirts for her kids sharing the news that their moms was Residence Inn Mom of the Year 2015. The shirts were super cute!
Tamera and husband Adam Housley already have a first child, Aden, born in 2012, and are expecting a baby girl this summer. Even with getting ready to welcome their second child, Tamera is still working and being active.
“I’m constantly on-the-go with my family, and I love that Residence Inn is everywhere and has all the comforts of home, but even better – with features like grocery delivery service and great options at breakfast, we can focus our attention on the important things, like discovering new places and adventures,” said Tamera.
Tamera shared she loves traveling with her family but admits it's not always easy. Like many other parents, she's had to deal with toddler meltdowns and other challenges of family travel. She recommends taking along toys and other things (like an ipad) that keep kids occupied and happy.
Tamera also shared a few mom hacks to help make families lives easier while traveling.
Ziplock baggies are good for keeping and carrying personal items while traveling. Liquids won't spill in suitcase and ruin clothing. Also any kid discovered items like sea shells wont spill sand etc and can be found easily. Lastly these bags can used to keep clothing that needs to be laundry separated from clean clothing when packing to return home.
Coconut oil can can be used in multi purpose ways. From cooking, to hair care to skin care. It's a great and natural product to take along when traveling.
This exclusive kid-friendly healthy cookie recipe for guests of Residence Inn, made with only five ingredients that can be prepared quickly at home or in a hotel suite.
We ended our visit with Tamera with a group photo and a few seconds to speak with her. She was so personable and down to earth. Congrats to her for being Residence Inn Mom of the Year 2015. It's well deserved.
If you'd also like to enjoy come time her then join Tamera and Residence Inn for a #KidsNTrips Twitter chat on May 14 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. EST to discuss family travel tips. After saying goodby to Tamera, I went on a quick tour of the Residence Inn by Marriott World Trade to learn what this location offers traveling families.
The Residence Inn World Trade opened in January 2015 with a new build’s design that reflects its location’s history and surroundings. The design theme of time and money is reflected with clocks inspired by famed Manhattan jeweler William Barthman’s clock and money is reflected in the room’s and common areas’ wall art.
Bold, warm colors are found throughout the design of the hotel. The main accent color, orange, is a nod to the hotel’s historic New York location, which was originally set up by the Dutch and referred to as New Amsterdam.
While this location is bold and stylish, it still offers offer spacious suites with full kitchens, free Internet, swimming pools, laundry facilities and complimentary hot breakfast, so families can stick to a routine, while uncovering extra time for new experiences.
Thanks to Residence Inn for such a great event honoring mothers and families.
