Review: Discovery Kids Talking USA Puzzle and Holiday Toys Gift Ideas

I'm a big fan of toys that have an educational tie in. Now that my son has started first grade, I'm especially leaning more towards toys that teach as well as entertain. One brand that does this mix of teaching and entertaining well is Discovery Kids. They have tons of toys and products that kids can learn from while enjoying playtime.

We recently received for review the Discovery Kids Talking USA Puzzle (Ages 4+ SRP $29.99) and was SO please with it.

The talking puzzle helped my son learn so many things about the 50 United States. It even came with a USA Fun Fact Map.

One way to "play" with the puzzle is by pressing on the state. Then the puzzle told you the name of the state, the capital and a fun fact. The combination of audio and visual is a great way for my son to learn AND remember each of the states.

My son could also "play" with the puzzles state pieces individuals as a matching game. Each piece was removable. If he wasn't done "playing" he could put the puzzle pieces in the slide out side drawer for next time. Easy clean up. LOVE IT!
