Synopsis

The Transformers film series continues with this fourth entry from director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg. In the devastating aftermath of the fight for humanity, an enigmatic group strives to alter the course of history as an ancient force of evil plots the destruction of mankind.

In order to defeat it, Optimus Prime (voice of Peter Cullen) and the rest of the Autobots must join forces with a new, resilient band of humans who will fight an epic battle that will determine the fate of the entire human race. Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor co-star.

Dolby Atmos started in the cinema in 2012 in the hit film Brave. Since then, it’s been used for more than 180 theatrical releases, including hits like Godzilla, Guardians of the Galaxy, Gravity, and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (which I wrote a review on)

Dolby Atmos home theater

Now the technology has come to home theater this summer. The first Dolby Atmos receivers and speakers are in stores now, so families can enjoy a multidimensional sound that flows all around.

So that means, during family movie night, you can sit back and enjoy watching Transformers: Age of Extinction with the feel and sound like being in a real theater. Especially if you have home entertainment system with Dolby Atmos.

But even if you don’t have a Dolby Atmos home theater, media content mixed in Dolby Atmos still sounds better. This format gives filmmakers the tools and freedom to bring more sound off the screen and into your living room creating a more enveloping experience - taking your family movie night to the next level.

This fall be sure to check out more Dolby Atmos titles for home theater on both Blu-ray Disc and from streaming video providers like Vudu.

You can get more information on the Dolby Atmos website and on the Dolby blog.
