Couple Bonding with Music & Lenny Green Song Suggestions

Earlier this month many families celebrated Father's Day by giving gifts, breakfast in bed and more so that the Dads in their lives can feel special. But what happens the next day and the day after that. Is the special feeling beginning to wear off for the man in your home?

As wives and partners, we want the men in our lives to feel appreciated and loved everyday. Many of us would be surprised to learn that simple actions can help us do this for our special guy. Sometimes men just need a love message.

A great way to send your guy a love message is with music. Do you have a favorite song that reminds you of him? Or maybe you both share a song from a special moment? Music is a great bonding tool.

Music Tips for Ladies By Lenny Green of WBLS The Quiet Storm With Lenny Green

To help get some music suggestions, I turned to Lenny Green, host of the nationally syndicated radio show “The Quiet Storm with Lenny. Lenny's advice that men love being "romanced" too, especially if they are dads!

So ladies, try giving your man a musical massage (you'll have him smiling all week long).
Here are a few of my song suggestions that will enhance the moment even more:
  1. Hoops Of Fire- Temptations
  2. Meeting In My Bedroom- Silk
  3. Lose Control- Ledisi
  4. You Put a Move On My Heart- Tamia
  5. What's My Name- Brian McKnight
  6. Call My Name- Avery Sunshine
  7. Late Nights, Early Mornings- Marsha Ambrosis
As I look at Lenny's music suggestion, I'm ready to download songs for the special guy in my life. I know he'll feel special listening to songs I picked just for him.

What kind of music does your guy like to listen to?

  1. My hubby listens to just about anything. He is a REALLY laid back person, so whatever is on is what he listens to usually. In the car, it's usually top 40 :)

  2. It is funny because neither my Hubs nor I listen to much music any longer. When he does, it is probably music from the 50s.

  3. He listens to a very varied and eclectic mix so I never know what to expect. Sometimes it is painful when he is discovering new artists but on the plus side when he reverts to rock it is all peace

  4. We do not celebrate Father's Day, it is just another day in the year in our house. We prefer to do little things all year long and this is a great idea for that.

  6. Well, my husband sings...so he listens to almost anything, really. He was listening to Pavarotti quite a bit the past few weeks, as he sang "Nessun Dorma" for a work function last week...so I'm not sure what he's switched over to now! People ask me all the time if he sings to me...and no, he really doesn't. Every once in a while a rousing chorus of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River"...but that's about it LOL
