Our First WWE Monday Night RAW Experience with Stephanie McMahon #WWEMoms #Raw #WWEBrooklyn

Like most 5 (almost 6) year old boys, my son is into most things action packed. If it runs, jumps, fly's and makes my heart skip a beat, he's all for it. I get it. Really I do. Boys are full of energy and like to get it out in a physical way.

WWE Monday Night RAW Experience with Stephanie McMahon

Note: I was invited as media to this event and received a gift bag and tickets to WWE Monday Night Raw. No other compensation was received. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

With that thought in mind, I accepted an invitation to attend a private event hosted by Stephanie McMahon, WWE’s Chief Brand Officer, at the Barclays Center. During the event parents would learn how the WWE is connecting with kids and the parenting community in positive ways.

After that the families were invited to stay and experience Monday Night RAW! I thought that was good idea for an event. Some education and then some entertainment!

And it was a good idea....at least until my son tackled Stephanie during our meet and greet with her. For my part, I nearly freaked out and hoped he didn't topple her over. My son may be little but he's solid and full of testosterone. But she handled my son's tackle hug nicely and we were able to get a very nice photo with her. LOL

Beyond her on TV persona, Stephanie was extremely sweet. She spoke with heart about the WWE programs that aim to support the various communities. WWE Monday Night RAW Experience with Titus O'Neil

After meeting with Stephanie, my son enjoyed his time .....flexing his muscles with wrestler Titus O'Neil

.....pretend wrestling with a few WWE Mattel Toys.....and then gaming with WWE Slam City

Then it was time to head into the Barclays Center area for Monday Night RAW. Since my sister had joined us, this was really going to be a family experience.

After explaining that the fighters were "pretend" fighting and no one needed to go to the hospital (yes he asked this) we settle in to watch the action. And boy was there action! There was even celebrity appearance!

The area loudly cheered when Hulk Hogan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Joe Manganiello took the stage to announce news for Wrestlemania 30 and the film Sabotage, which opened in theaters nationwide on March 28, 2014. At the time my son really didn't understand what a great moment he just shared in but when he's older, he'll be excited he was there.

For now I was excited to be able to share this excitement with him...and hopefully burn off some of his extra energy. LOL

  9. I am not a fan of wrestling, but I can see how kids love it. Even adults. There is also a lot of drama because the wresters have sworn enemies. And to get to see celebrities too! Looks like a fun night!

  19. He looks so exciting. WWE (or F as I remember it) is such a modern theatre experience, but many people don't realize it's completely produced.

  23. My husband grew up creating homemade WWE films with his friends. So you can imagine that he and my daughter are constantly 'wrestling' and body slamming each other. She is as rough and tumble as they come and I know she would love these.
