This past weekend we joined Scooby-Doo and some of the WWE Superstars for a special screening and world premiere of Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery Film.

Note: I was invited as media to this event. No other compensation was received. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

We were both excited to attend this screening but for different reasons. My son is now getting into the Scooby-Doo cartoons so he was excited to see him live.

Meanwhile I grew up watching the Scooby-Doo cartoons and was amazed that this classic character has lasted and is still entertaining kids. Not only that but now he's wrestling with WWE Superstars!

Before the screening there was a meet and greet with some of the WWE Superstars including Sin Cara *swoon*, Triple H, Brodus Clay, AJ Lee, The Miz, Kane and Stephanie McMahon!

Everyone was very nice and made time to pose for photos with the kids and their families, who swarmed the group. I don't do well in swarming groups so I don't have a photo with the rest of the WWE Superstars. Sorry!

But after the meet and greet, everyone (including the WWE Superstars) headed into Tribeca Cinemas theater to see Scooby-Doo WrestleMania Mystery Film.

So how was it?

It was really good. Scooby-Doo WrestleMania Mystery did an amazing job of mixing the feel of the classic Scooby-Doo mystery cartoons with the WWE wrestling world.

The story line was easy enough for young kids to follow but still entertaining for adults and any WWE fans. The movie was packed with adventure, mystery solving, some wrestling actions and humor! I got a kick out of the team using social media!

Scooby-Doo WrestleMania Mystery is the first collaboration between Warner Bros. and WWE and is now available on Blu-ray Combo ($29.98 SRP), DVD ($19.98 SRP) and Digital HD ($19.99 SRP)

Plot Summary
When Shaggy and Scooby win tickets to WrestleMania, the entire gang travels in the Mystery Machine to WWE City to attend the epic event. However, when a mysterious ghostly bear appears and threatens to ruin the show, Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred work with WWE Superstars to solve the case.

It is an animated film starring Scooby-Doo and WWE superstars John Cena, Triple H, Sin Cara, Brodus Clay, AJ Lee, The Miz, Santino Marella and Kane.

WWE Chairman/CEO Vince McMahon is also animated in the movie, as are Big Show, Alberto Del Rio and Michael Cole.

  1. That is the coolest thing ever. We LOVE Scooby in our house, so I have to get my boys that DVD. My kids know about wrestling, but have never watched it. This would be a good intro for them!
