While at The Queens Zoo for the celebration of the Lunar New Year, we went to the calligraphy class. There we had our name written in Chinese characters.

It's really interesting how a name can look and sound different in another language.

  4. My last name Pace comes from England, it's possibly Welsh origin, but I can't go back that far as of yet in my family history. But in Italy, the last name Pace is pronounced Paw-chay. Cool post, thanks!

  9. I think there is something so beautiful about Chinese symbols. I have never seen my name written in it though.

  18. Well I am Chinese so my middle name constitutes as my Chinese name, hehe. But it does sound weird when you write out characters for my first name :P

  21. That's cool haha! I never had calligraphy classes before and its been awhile since I truly enjoyed writing my name in chinese but it sure is fun experience. :)
