For the start of this new week I did something exciting and different. Thanks to Beth Feldman and CBS, I was able to visit a live taping of "The Talk" show while it's here visiting New York City. What a fun way way to spend a Monday!
Note: I was invited as media to this event. No other compensation was received. Views expressed are always 100% my own.
I joined a small group of fellow bloggers including Beth Feldman, Danielle Feigenbaum, Kim Orlando, Jennifer Wagner, Shari Von Holten, and Cristie Ritz King, to see the show and of course Tweet, Instagram and Facebook about the show activities and guests.
It's always fun when a group of bloggers who love social media get together. This photo captured our activities so well. But can you blame us? We wanted to share with our followers so they can join in the conversation! There was so much going on during "The Talk" show including
- Miley Cyrus twerks on Santa Claus at a concert! Is it OK to sexualize Christmas?
- Carrie Underwood responds to "Sound of Music" critics: "Mean people need Jesus." Should Carrie lash out at her critics?
- Kanye says in his job he puts himself at risk like police officers and soldiers! What do you think?
There was A LOT of feedback on this topics via gossip columnist Perez Hilton, social media and viewers comments. That's one of the things I really like about the show. That they interactively takes viewers comments on topics. These viewers not only give great feedback but their also funny!
After discussing the days hot topics, it was time to greet a special guest. Garth Brooks! *swoon*
The segment with Garth was amazing. Yes in part because he's a superstar in the county music world but also because he was so down to earth. Garth shared about how he first got into music, performing at The Kennedy Center in a special tribute to Billy Joel (airs Sunday, 12/29th on CBS) and his 2014 World Tour

As I waved goodbye to Garth, I was excited that I had the chance to see him live and in person. This is what happens when you visit "The Talk"!
