Loving the New Cabbage Patch Kids at the 30th Anniversary Event

This weekend we joined the Cabbage Patch Kids to celebrate its 30 Anniversary at super fun a birthday party in Humphrey’s at the Eventi Hotel.

Note: I was invited as media to this event and received the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. No other compensation was received. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

The day was filled with many activities for the kids and families and my son and I enjoyed taking part.

Our first stop during the event was to the Official Adoption Station, where my son received a treat. He got to choose his very own CPK to adopt.

After a careful selection, he chose a boy baby and we waited for his box to be opened so we could welcome him to our family.

Now that we had our baby, we visited the 30 Years of Cabbage Patch Kids Gallery, where saw the different CPK during the 30 years.

It was amazing to see the different types of dolls and themes. I even found a adorable surprise newborn outfitted in cabbage outfit.

After seeing the Gallery we headed over to the Cabbage Patch Kids Care Stations, where we

Received our new baby's birth certificate. We named him Dale and he was born on Feb 1 (according to my son)

Learned how to change and diaper our baby Dale. My son wasn't sure about the "diapers" and putting one on baby Dale but the care station lady was very helpful and took my son through a demo on another doll. *laughing*

Then we sat for story time where we learned how CPK came into the world. While listening to the story, we discovered a new friend and my son (and I!) fell in love again. After getting permission, we then adopted another CKP into our lives.

My son named our new CPK Jake and he's one of the new very fashionably "Cabbage Patch Kids Celebration ‘Kids". He even has a color streak in his hair. Like me! My son adores him and wouldn't let him go. No Really. He carried him around for the rest of the party while I held baby Dale.

With our new CPK's family member's, we joined in to sing Happy Birthday to the Cabbage Patch Kids and enjoy birthday cupcakes! What a fun (and yummy) party! Soon it ended and we had to say goodbye but we were excited to take home our new CPK friends.
