The fashion show highlighted the award-winning Dollie & Me® brand of matching girl and 18-inch doll apparel and related fashion accessories.
After the fashion show, I toured the Alexander Doll Company booth to learn more about the new doll collections available this year including:
In connection with the 75th Anniversary of the classic movies The Wizard of Oz, The Alexander Doll Company developed a variety of dolls including a 10” Wicked Witch of the West with three Winged Monkeys, a 10” Glinda the Good Witch with three dolls from the Lullaby League, and a 10” Dorothy in the Poppy Fields complete with three sweet poppies.
A collection of washable dolls also make their debut this season. These The Wizard of Oz, Fancy Nancy or Pinkalicious dolls can be put into the washer and dryer on a gentle cycle.
I also saw the limited edition dolls celebrating the 90th Anniversary milestone including
- The 21" Cissy doll, designed to emulate a 1920”s photo of Madame and dressed in a beautiful beaded dress and fur shawl and adorned with rhinestone broaches.
- The rare 12" Lissy, who harkens back to the original McGuffey Anas of the 30’s and 40’s
- The 10” Cissette and 8” Wendy, who are companion dolls dressed in celebration pink gown and dress. The 8" Wendy comes with a marionette theatre and 8” Maggie brings her doll “Funny” to the celebration.
All dolls come boxed with a special 90th Anniversary hang tag.
While I only highlighted 3 of the doll collection, Alexander Doll Company has many more collections for doll lovers to enjoy.
