A few days ago I filed my taxes....

filing taxes

and then nearly cried when I saw the $500 bill from H&R Block with all their fees for various things. Seems dealing with the 1099 forms are "extra". I miss my old tax person.

Have you filed your taxes yet?

  4. Wow that is a lot to pay for fees! We pay our accountant $175 and that's for both Cory and I's taxes.

  6. I would never, ever use H&R block, always hear they cost too much and do not do as good as just my old accountant did. I personally do my own, already filed.

  9. Yikes! I hope we can figure out how to still do it by ourselves next year even though we'll have the blog stuff to add in.

  10. Wow! That's quit high! I think our fee is only around 350 for both my hubby and I, 1099s included! At least it saves you the headache of doing them yourself!

  13. Oh yeah, we filed them a month or so ago and have already spent it all. We filed online ourselves. I think I would freak if I saw a bill like that!

  14. Ugh, I have to make an appointment with my accountant next week. She rocks, I'm just not looking forward to the tax bill itself, LOL. If I'd gotten a $500 tax prep fee I think I'd have a heart attack!!
