New York Kids Club Fall Class & Giveaway CLOSED

This week my son and I where invited by MamaDrama to the New York Kids Club to demo 3 of the fall classes and learn more about the club's state-of-the-art open gym space.

Founded in September of 2001, The New York Kids Club serves as childhood enrichment facility for young people ages 6 months – 12 years, offering unique and innovative programming options for growing bodies and inquisitive minds

Since my son loves music, we sat in on the Musical Tots class which is an educational music class, aim for 4 months to 4 years olds, featuring classical music, jazz, rock and nursery rhymes in a fun, upbeat environment.



During the first part of the class club coaches played a guitar and sang nursery style songs. The kids were encouraged to sing along and use sound toys to add their own sounds.

In the next part the kids were encouraged to free style dance with scarfs. My son LOVED that part and had a blast. When dancing was over it was cleanup time and the kids did great at following instructions.

Since my son was older, we didn't partake in the other 2 classes geared at younger children but I did take a peek and learn about them. Here's the info.

Cuentos Musica y Arte

Rooted in thematic age-appropriate lessons, this class will immerse children in the Spanish language through music, story, art and play. Native speaking instructors will introduce a number, a letter, a shape and an animal every class. A fun flash card art project, which will bring the four elements together, will allow the students to continue learning at home. An interactive playtime and a lively rug time filled with original NY Kids Club music and Spanish songs will round out this 45 minute Spanish immersion class. 12-36 months

Infant Milestones

A class designed to support the natural patterns of development in infants, fostering growth through music, movement, massage, gentle stretching and tummy time. Original songs, developmentally appropriate props, and both energizing and calming infant massage techniques are used each week to stimulate auditory, visual, and physical growth. Nurturing instructors facilitate each class, providing caregivers confidence, knowledge and support in a safe and clean environment 2-5 months.
